adidas Trackstar Suede-Pink

adidaspinkThe ones that got away
These delicious pink confections by adidas were on sale today at Shoes.com but before I could check out, my size had sold out! Thanks Bryan for posting about the sale, by the way.

Adidas has been a revered brand for as long as I can remember and its oft imitated signature ‘three stripes’ are unmistakably cool. Adidas was established in post-war Germany by Adolf Dassler. The “adi” comes from Adolf and “das” from Dassler. The Dassler family had shoes, athletic shoes in particular, in their blood. Adolf Dassler’s brother Rudolf Dassler also founded a shoe company called Puma. Adidas gained prominence in the international sports arena from sponsoring superstar Muhammad Ali. The Stan Smith tennis shoe by adidas is a classic on and off the courts. In the 1980s, adidas was often worn by hip-hop scenesters in coordinated jogging suits.

This classic “running style sneaker” appears here in hula/white/shock red, a lovely color combination reminiscent of a strawberry sundae. Did I mention my favorite color is pink? The shoe is made of a pink suede upper. The famous triple stripes and “adi speed” logo practically guarantee high performance while providing comfort with a cushioned collar and cushioned insole. Notice the unusual non-slip tentacle-like traction outer sole. In these adidas Trackstar shoes, you’ll have a strong grip over your competition and I’ll bet you can even walk on water.

Why couldn’t I have entered my billing address fast enough, darnit. Please note that the adidas brand name is not capitalized, like e.e.cummings.
