Frankenstein Shoes

frankensteinplatformsHere is a wild pair of platform shoes worn by the famous monster created by Dr. Frankenstein. He was seen dancing to the song “Tequila” at Universal Studios - Hollywood, California. Not a bad gig, though, right?

They appear to be about 5-inch high platform boots made of suede. I know I’m short, but I wouldn’t look poised if I wore these chunky clunkers. But, the monster didn’t seem to mind and they suit him just fine. He can dance a fancy jig in them, so they must be pretty good dancing shoes. I was so impressed by the monster’s great skill at staying balanced.

I wonder if this was the fate Mary Shelley envisioned for her literary creation. Did she choose his footwear?

Where can I find a pair of shoes like those in a size 14?
