Attention Southern Californian shoe lovers! Opening this Saturday, July 19, 2008, with a reception from 4-7pm, is a shoe exhibit just for us. “Rubber sole, canvas upper: the art of the sports shoe” runs through October 5. The exhibit traces the fascinating history of the athletic shoe from the late 1890s until now.

East of Harbor Boulevard, in downtown Fullerton. Museum admission is $4 for adults, $3 for students with student identification and senior citizens 65 and older, $1 for children 6 to 12, and free to children under 5 and to members of the Fullerton Museum Center. Admission is $2 for all visitors from 4-8 p.m. the first Thursday of each month.
