Here’s a little tidbit: I actually had no idea that Gap.com doesn’t really sell shoes online at their site. Well, actually they do (for instance they have a special $6.99 on select flip flops exclusively at Gap.com. and there are various other flats, wedges, and sneakers).

But I think the key is that they plan to sell other brands of shoes online, instead of only Gap-branded shoes. According to the news report I read, they’ve made some agreements with outside footwear manufacturers, though they don’t say which ones. They did say it will be a good selection of designer and casual footwear. They’re planning on having their new sho-e-commerce up by the holidays…
