Snakes, Why Did It Have To Be Snakes…

Snakes Alive And Shoes - Shoe -n- Tell
Hooray, hooray. Let’s hear it for Shoe PR stunts. These are all the rage now and they certainly give me something meaty to post about on Shoe-n-Tell. The latest involves London’s Harrods department store which hired an actual live Egyptian cobra in order to guard their $120,000 Rene Caovilla jewel encrusted sandals. Yep that’s right the marketing team actually walked up to the cobra and politely asked it if it wouldn’t mind terribly shacking up in a glass case with their priceless shoes, haha.

Actually, the snake didn’t faze me at all, I was trying to figure out what the doohickey on the buckle was. Apparently, when you buy shoes like this they come with their own ruby, diamond and sapphire hood ornament - just like a fancy car.

All I know is I wouldn’t like to be in the store when (and you know it’s only a matter of WHEN) the new intern leaves the cage door open after feeding time…

I thought this was really cool (and weird!) Don’t you think someone would figure out how to get by this snake, like some snake expert? And are these shoes for sale or just a publicity stunt?
