“Sweet” Pink Sequin Slippers

pink_sequin_slippersMy mother gave me these pink bead and sequin slippers by Sweet and see, I didn’t run away from her. I still call her a few times a week. She bought them maybe five years ago in Chinatown (Los Angeles) for about $3.00. They’re kind of nice, right? The beads form the stems and leaves and the clusters of sequins make pretty flowers. Various Chinese brands started making the same slipper in a great assortment of colors and they really caught on. Then mall stores started selling them with at least a 300-500 percent markup. Ridiculous! I’m glad mine were a gift from my mama.

I have seen these at the stores and think they are really sweet. Your momma was way ahead of her time it looks like. They are very comfortable in the summertime. I have a green pair and love wearing them with short shorts.

I had the same pair of shoes! I got them at the Family dollar store for $2! I wore them until they fell apart!
