Tommy Hilfiger Taura Espadrille Slide
The Tommy Hilfiger Taura Espadrille Slide, shown here in navy, is a very nice, classy summer sandal. Tommy added several nifty touches to a seemingly simple-looking shoe. The underside of the canvas upper has a striped pattern reminiscent of Ralph Lauren’s preppy striped oxford shirts. A white bow with a plastic bead at each end decorates the upper. The footbed is made of an absorbent fabric to prevent your foot from sliding around and the sole has plenty of traction. Jute wrapping covers an understated 3-inch wedge heel, that, combined with the canvas upper, becomes the perfect shoe to match a crisp and cool sundress. Let these shoes accompany you on many casual occasions this season.

The first time I wore these, I went to eat dim sum with some friends. The thirty minute wait for our table was bearable in these heels, but all day at work is an entirely different story. (I had to bandage my foot at five different spots! Perhaps these shoes run small.) So I’d say this pair is best worn sometime between breakfast and lunch while partaking in some jasmine tea.
