Vacuum Cleaner Shoes

Vacuum Shoes - Shoe-n-Tell

Somehow or another I missed these shoe-techy “Vacuum Shoes” that Electrolux had unveiled over a year ago. Looking like some sort of mutated low galoshes, the motor that powers the vacuum shoe is housed in the sole - hence the astronaut boot look. I wonder if they’re thinking of competing with the Roomba. Or perhaps it’s inspired by the Wii. I could see a Wii vacuum attachment game in the works. I’ve also been wondering if this will be popular in colder climates where the residual heat from the motor could be used to nicely warm your feet.

No word on whether or not scuffing these shoes along the ground in order to clean the floor will build up a nice good zap of static electricity or not.
